Waste Recycling Information

WASTE RECYCLING March 2012 - October 2012.

With effect from 1st March 2012 fornightly refuse collections will come into operation. General refuse will be collected on alternate Mondays starting March 12th, with cardboard and plastic bottles in the blue lidded bin starting on March 5th. Black Box recycling collections for tins, paper and glass will be collected on alternate Fridays starting on March 2nd.Please refer to Wiltshire Council's website www.wiltshire.gov.uk or telephone 0300 456 0102 for further information. Residents should not hold back the containers because there is only a small quantity for collection. Collecting regularly enables the recycling company provide a better service. At the moment there are peaks and troughs occurring in the amount of material collected. Tough central government regulations mean that the compost must meet quality standards.

GREEN WASTE COLLECTIONS - JUNE 2015.

With effect from Wednesday June 17th 2015 green waste will only be collected by Wiltshire Council if householders have paid the newly introduced annual fee of £40.00.

Wiltshire Council have issued self adhesive labels to those Residents who have signed up, these label must be stuck to the lid of the wheelie bin.

If you opted NOT to pay the new fee you should transport your green waste to the nearest Household recycling centre. Stanton St Quinton is probably the nearest.

Those residents with plots on Lea allotments are reminded that under the Code of Conduct they are NOT permitted to move their green waste to the allotment site for disposal.
