Chippenham Twinning Association was formed in 1981 with the object of promoting friendships and educational and cultural understanding between the residents of Chippenham and towns in continental Europe. Twinning with La Flèche, France was achieved in 1981 and with Friedberg, Germany in 1992. We are particularly keen to encourage the development of personal contacts and visits, especially by families and young people, but also by individuals and groups, to and from our twin towns.
